This is the rough cut for our product/music video. Currently, it is just a small amount of footage that requires further editing. From what we have so far, we have been able to get audience feedback by handing out feedback forms and then seeing what people want to to improve on.

Rough cut
Here is the Rough Cut for our music video . At the moment it is only a small amount of footage that sill needs further editing, but from what we have so far we have been able to create this rough cut that we can get audience feedback from and then see what we can improve upon.

Digipak (printed)
This is the printed version of my digipak. The reason why I printed it was because I wanted to show what it would look like in physical form. Overall, I am happy with the way that this looks because it really represents the semantic field of anger (the monster shadow represents anger).

Digipak
This is my digipak. I decided to make it relate to our music video by following the same theme, anger. This is seen by looking at the title and the track list. I decided to make the album look black and white. The reason for this was to make it look dark and moody. Also, I made it look rough so that it could suit the overall pace of our music video.

Digipak working progress
This is the template that I used for my digipak. This really helped because it gave me the right boundaries to draw on and it helped me to avoid mistakes because of this.
I scanned it into Photoshop and was then able to increase the threshold, which darkened the lines.I then started to colour in the images using the colour scheme of mainly black, grey and white (apart from the purple in the hair and the red monster eyes).

Digipak made in class
This is a digipak that I made during a media lesson. My objective was to design a digipak for the band Love and Death, mainly because they are the band we are focusing on for our video/product.
Because of this, I decided to draw out the bands title on the front cover in a very similar fashion, but instead of a broken down house/shack, I decided to draw a couple of mountains with a monsters hand reaching around the side.
Digipak Research
Before designing and making my digipak, I had to research what they look like.
A digipak is a CD case which has a close resemblance to the classic jewel case. This is because, like the jewel case, it opens and folds to reveal what's inside. Digipaks usually have many sides that include the disc, track list and other bonus content.
This image below shows an opened and closed digipak.

Magazine research
We analysed two magazine, Uncut and Classiz Rock.
MAGAZINE 1:
As we can see, a single sleeved digipak containing a CD is places at the bottom left of the magazines front cover. This is different to some magazines that I've seen contain digipaks on certain pages inside the magazines. Personally, I think having the digipak on the front cover is more effective than having it on the inside because it becomes more noticeable and eye-catching.
The digipak follows a similar colour scheme to the magazine, which involves blue, yellow and white. The only difference is that the digipaks title is white, instead of the magazines blue title. I think this is effective because, although it follows a similar colour scheme, it still stands out to the buyer and does a good job of advertising the product to it's chosen audience.
In addition to the digipak on the front cover, this magazine also has a whole page advertising a load of digipaks from various artists. This is also a good method of advertisement because it lets the reader browse all the products and receive the information needed e.g. price, where to buy, artist etc.
MAGAZINE 2:
Straight away we can see that the Classic Rock magazine also has a digipak positioned on the front cover. Just like the last magazine, this digpak has a similar colour scheme to the magazine, for the same reason for why the Uncut magazine did it.
The digipak clearly has those colours that are usually related to classic rock, which is good because it means that it is a useful advertising mechanic when advertising to the classic rock loving audience.

Rough Cut Feedback
In order to know of ways to improve our music video, we needed to get some feedback from other people. We showed four people in a photography class our Rough Cut and gave them a feedback sheet each for them to fill in while they watched. Here are the feedback sheets that they completed.
These feedback sheets are very helpful because they tell us what we did well, but also what we need to improve on. We will try to make improvements based on these results.
Rough cut screen shots
Below are some screenshots of our rough cut. The first screenshot shows our footage and sound saved on a program called Final Cut Pro. As you can see, we have different parts of footage placed about different clips. This was so that each scene/clip could change to the beat of the music.
This clip of Kieran playing the guitar is actually the length of the whole song. During the rough cut, we placed pieces of footage (like me walking and other shots of location) over this clip and then cropped and moved it.

Love and Deaths other record label, Driven Music Group.
Driven Music Group is a record label that was founded by Brian Head Welch, from our chosen band (Love and Death). He didn't found this label on his own though because he had help from both Mark Nawara and Greg Shanaberger. Although this record label is seen as independent, it does distribution deal with Warner Music Group.

Work in progress (photos from filming)
We decided to use the media studio in the Wem Town Hall for filming us playing our instruments. So far, we filmed me (playing my bass) guitar and Kieran (Playing his guitar).
Our task was to try our best to play in time with the song. To help us with this, we had the song playing in the background so that we could listen to it while filming. During the filming, we took a load of photos of us playing our instruments.
